Ana María Llamazares is an anthropologist and
epistemologist specialized in the study
of shamanic and visionary art -mainly from Pre-Hispanic America-, and the evolution of consciousness, on new paradigms and holistic thought, its correlation with indigenous worldviews, shamanism, the ritual use of psychoactive plants and archetypal symbolism.

Researcher of the CONICET [National
Council of Scientific and Technological Research of Argentina]. Lecturer in the
Masters Programmes on Cultural Diversity at the UNTREF (Universidad Nacional de
Tres de Febrero), and on System Thinking at the UNR
(Universidad Nacional de Rosario), Argentina.
She has taught and led workshops in different private and official
institutions: Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires, Universidad Nacional de
Tucumán, Universidad del Salvador, Universidad de Palermo (all in Argentina). Visiting
Fellow at Cambridge University (UK), Invited Professor at Universidad Autónoma
de Barcelona (Spain) and
California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS, USA), and Guest Speaker at Universidad Autónoma
de Occidente, Universidad de Manizales y Nacional de Bogotá (Colombia).
She has published many scientific, academic and journalistic articles.
She is the author of “Del Reloj a la Flor de Loto. Crisis Contemporánea y
cambio de paradigmas” [From the Clock to the Lotus Blossom. Contemporary
